Well my husband's SSDI has been awarded/approved. I posted a few weeks ago that SSA Disability Determination office had scheduled a "personality
profile." They called last week to say they cancelled the appointment and that his claim had "cleared". That sounded like good news.
Yesterday we received a call from SSA saying they needed to discuss something with him before they could pay him. He spoke with them this a.m. and they were
just checking with him to see if he could handle his own money or if someone else should get it. She says he'll start getting paid in about 6 weeks (and
the kids too).
Seems that this went a little differently for us than most - they've told us everything by phone. Hopefully we'll receive some documentation soon.
