OK I think I fixed the link the VHA directive on MMJ now so others can look at it.

There is some wording in there that bothers me it states

(While patients participating in State marijuana programs must not be
denied VHA services, the decisions to modify treatment plans in those situations need to be
made by individual providers in partnership with their patients.)

So it sounds like it's up to the doc to decide if I still get pain meds or not and that scares me.
I have already had to avoid one VA oncologists because he insisted I did not need pain meds and it took about 4 months of bouncing around to different doctors and tests and departments until I finally was sent back to oncology to a different doc and he says sure you can have pain meds no problems.
So I don't want to get up to Colorado find out all the docs there are saying nope pull my pain meds.

My pain meds and sleep meds are the only thing right now that make my life even remotely bearable without them I seriously don't think I could keep going.
The 4 months when they were play musical doctors with me was a living hell that I barely made it through.

As far as the transplant goes I have no full siblings so that cuts my chances back quite a bit for match and they have stated they will not even look at a transplant until the chemo stops working.

Transplant stats are about roughly 30/30/30 (30 percent die), (30 percent get remission or partial recovery with other weird diseases attached after) and 30 are cured for an amount of time. The data I looked at says that even after a transplant eventually it will come back it's just a matter of how long.
So I really don't want to spend months and months in the hospital being irradiated and having all my bone marrow killed and hoping it works. Just the waiting after part would drive me nuts. I read some blogs on bone marrow transplant patients and it is truly and horrific experience.

The main issue is usually people don't get this cancer until there in their 70's and I'm only 41 so if they can give some 10 years of life in there 70's that's probably pretty good with me I just don't know what's going to happen it's such a weird rare type of leukemia I am told especially for the young.

So anyway to some it all up I would be happy to stay on the chemo if I could just get the symptoms under control and have some quality of life back. Right now all I do is stay at home every day because I am too sick to do anything else.
So that is why I am searching to see if medical marijuana is a possibility I read so many statements from people saying how it help their symptoms and really changed their life and that what I want a changed life.
