Posts: 6 Jul 23 12 9:51 PM	Iknow gulf war presumptives are hard to get service connected for, but my VA PCP is the Dr. that made the diagnosis of fibromyalgia and GERD. Will that make it any easier to get the disability rating without it going to appeal.

With your doctor giving you a diagnosis of fibromyalgia will help you in your claim. you will need to file for the fibromyalgia as a presumptive under section 3.317 and make sure you list just how bad the symptoms are. Also make sure you note any and all secondary issues you may have. The are some other post here on fibromyalgia that will help you on the. Next, your GERD is NOT a presumptive illness to the gulf war. If you have has GI problems in the service and since, you can get it in a direct bases and should file for it that way, plus if you are taking medication from the VA also at the same time file for the GERD as secondary to the VA medication you take. You can file for more than one cause to the illness, the VA have to follow them all.

Yeah, I thought it was too but you have too look under the FGID as the presumptives. That is the Functional Gastrointestinal Disorder such as IBS, diarrhea, constipation, bloating, gas, etc. Read this post from the National Academies Press on Gulf War and Health dealing with FGID SSDI awarded, 70% PTSD , 40% Fibromyalgia, 30%IBS= Total Awarded 90% Granted 100% TDIU One Does Not Have To Be Evil To Do Evil Because Good Men Only Have To Say Nothing Or Do Nothing...
