Posts: 297 Jul 9 12 11:09 AM	I logged in today online to check the status for the social security disability and it states "The Disability Determination Service in your State is processing the medical portion of your claim." Is this the last step? Thanks in advance....

Posts: 99 Jul 13 12 1:38 PM	http://www.socialsecurity.gov/hlp/radr/10/ent001-app-process.htm This one says that they check to see if you meet the basic requirements then send it to your state for the medical part. I think "Basic requirements" is the work history to qualify.

Posts: 297 Jul 13 12 5:53 PM	Yeah my husband called and spoke to the guy at the state level and they were " waiting on va records from the first va where he was seen( he has been to two) however he stated he would get with his supervisor to see if it can be pushed through or if there is enough information to make a decision or if he should just have an appointment with a doctor" Edited 1 time by vetwife12 Jul 13 12 6:10 PM.
