Posts: 153 Jun 29 12 9:06 PM	The Va called me to confirm my address and phone for my claim that I filed. The lady I spoke with said that my claim was in the open claim phase(what does that mean?) or something like that. She also said that my claim was moved to Lincoln Regional Office in Nebraska. Have no idea how it got there since I live in Calfornia and Oakland is my regional office. Is this a good sign that they wanted my address and phone number and why would they move my claim to Nebraska and is this a good or bad sign? Thanks.

Posts: 33 Jun 30 12 1:41 AM	How long ago did you file your claim? Was it an appeal? Did that person ask for your SS number or the last 4 of your SS number? Call the Nebraska VA and verify if it was the VA that called you and question why your file had moved. I hope someone else will chime in once you give more information.

Posts: 657 Jun 30 12 7:02 AM	Just an opinion. Oakland RO is REALLY REALLY backlogged from what I have read here. They MAY be moving it to another RO so they can get to it faster. Posts: 8007 Jun 30 12 11:47 AM	It is resource management. They moved it to a less backlogged facility. That is very good for you. It will be processed more quickly, but still not fast. So stay buckled up. This ride ain't over yet.
