Posts: 47 May 30 12 12:25 PM	Tags : None Just wanted to give everyone an update to my father's claim: On March 19, 2012 the claim went back for rating correction. On April 27 the rating correction was completed and it went into notification as of 04/27/2012. Called Peggy today and still it waits in notification and was told it has to go through several reviews for accuracy. We still wait but at least we have learned that it will be done when it is done. Back to the lake we go. Hope all had a very good and peaceful Memorial Day....I give Thanks to you all from my whole heart.

Posts: 3980 May 30 12 1:51 PM	Rhiannon IF what they are telling you is true, you should be in for a BIG pay day. IF it has to go thru three steps for approval that is the top amount in way of claims. One approval is up to like 75,000 then two approvals for claims up to 150,000 and three for over that amount......

Posts: 1 Jun 22 12 5:14 AM	I am new here and have a question. I am a Vietnam Veteran who served in Vietnam in 1967 timeframe. I would like to take Agent Orange physical for Registry (?). I live overseas (Thailand). When I contacted VA 2 years ago when I was back visiting friend in states they said they would schedule me but that the appointment could not be guaranteed. Does that sound correct? Now I am not in a position to travel to US and stay for a couple of months waiting for an appointment. Is there any VA (preferably close to Asia) where I can get a confirmed appointment? Guam? Hawaii?

Posts: 3980 Jun 22 12 9:15 AM	Toiyabe You can get on the registry BUT (in my opinion) it is a total waste of time. It is only a statistical gathering tool for the VA. It DOES NOT put in any claims for you nor does it tell you that your are open for any claim. It does NOT and cannot tell you IF you have AO in your system, there is NO test the VA does to find this out. What you need is a medical condition that can be linked to Agent Orange, such as ANY of the presumptives, file a claim (I think the PHILIPINES is closest) and let the VA take it from there.
