VA Caregiver program pay schedule.

Posts: 10 May 27 12 5:57 PM	I have been my husband's caregiver for 2 years now, recently am part of caregiver program. Wondering about pay schedules, I get pay on the 27th of every month. But this month is Sunday, with Monday holiday...does that mean the direct deposit will go on Tuesday now? I just wondering about this, any answers would help. Thanks, all.

Posts: 4378 May 28 12 11:38 AM	I wouldn't get too worried about it right now. Direct deposit does not usually happen on Sundays, or Holidays. Most will be the day prior or the day after. My wife always gets paid on the 1st, same pay schedule as my VA Comp

Posts: 1 May 29 12 7:32 AM	We normally get paid for the program as well on the 27th, but have noticed nothing as of Tuesday morning. Just thinking might be a minor delay due to holiday and long weekend. Let me know if you have received anything.

Posts: 16 May 29 12 7:57 AM	My wife gets payed on the 27th as well, we called the CHAMPVA Caregiver Health Administration number (1-877-733-7927) They told her that in her paper work that she received for the caregiver program (Long time ago) that stipend would be payed out before the first and that they "want the date caregivers get there stipend closer to the 1st" . She is still scheduled for payment, but my guess is that they just made a change so that she will be getting payed on the 1st . My guess they did this across the board.
