I have awaken twice and couldn't breath. Upon visiting the ER, it was discovered that I might have Sleep Apnea. I agreed to 2 sleep tests to find out that indeed, I have sleep apnea. The problem: it was never reported during my service time. I was always taught to "suck it up". My civilian doctor wrota a statement saying I may have have this condition for over ten years (which places me in the military). I was denied the sleep apnea claim. I had the doctor write another statement, "...developed during his military service..." My second claim is in now. My question: is this (second statement) enough? I did not know about the "is due to" or "more likely than not" statements, therefore I did not use them. Will the statement "...developed during his military service..." pass the test?
