Posts: 224 Mar 16 12 9:42 AM	If granted IU I will obviously be payed at the 100% level. I have multiple disabilities that are all in the appeals/claims process, along with my request for IU. If I'm granted IU, what happens to the ratings of all those other appeals and claims. Are they just labeled as "service connected" or would i still be given ratings or increased ratings??? I ask because I hope to get in a voc rehab program and eventually return to he work force- getting off IU at some point. At that point I would of course like my ratings to be accurate instead of starting over the whole process.

Posts: 224 Mar 16 12 10:31 AM	Thanks Lou I have just read that once you are compensated at a 100% rate, that the VA's position is that since it would not increase what you are compensated, that no other ratings would be considered.... I dunno, thanks for your response Sir.

The reason to keep applying is to get a bunch of other options. For instance, you may be IU but not P&T. If yo have a bunch of disabilities in the appeals process, wait and see what the decisions are before getting all excited and making plans! I hate to see false hope and expectations set forth when your claims are being appealed (and why are you appealing and what are the disabilities....that can make a difference n how we can respond to you situation) Fillean meal ar an meallaire.

Posts: 224 Mar 18 12 6:30 PM	Yes, I am most surely getting ahead of myself, but I get so anxious about not having a plan for the future I can't sleep and I get a little bit crazy around my family. The anxiety pushes all my other symptoms into the extreme, so I like to try and stay ahead of the game. Conditions: PTSD 50% Migraines residual of TBI 10% Currently done a TBI C and P where they found evidence of a Moderate level of impairment blah blah blah. Also have separate claims for Meniere's disease, tinnitus, and IU. I've posted on VBN about this and gotten little feed back of use, but I was told by my VSO (DAV Newark) that my "appeal" for TBI, PTSD, and Migraines, was not an appeal but was being done as a request for reconsideration because the tests used at the time of rating were over a year old at the time of decision, and that this was a legal technicality. I have recently seen my VSO face to face and he assured me again, that this was legit and should be decided outside the regular appeals process timeline...... so that's what and why I'm appealing. After viewing my NEW exam records I have found many contradictions and points at which examiners flat out ignored medical evidence provided to them, rushed the interview, or even yelled at me (yes, yelled) when I asked about how they were conducting the examination. So I'll probably be filing another NOD when this round of decisions is made.... The other 3 are all in the regular claims process. As these are all over the place- that's why I was asking if granted IU, what happens to all the other claims that I am hoping to get increases or service connections for...
