I had my "Future Exam" on Friday 2 March. Prior to the exam I had an echo. hen went to see the C&P examiner. I was about 20 minutes early, so I saw the nurse who did my temp and bp, she was kind of grouchy and didn't say too much. I then went to the waiting room and after about 1 minute, I was called by the examiner, who introduced himself as Dr. Smith (used this name to protect the identity of the examiner) and said that he was pleased to meet me and he thanked me for my service. He said that the RO just wanted to ask me a few questions:
Q: Do you have Coronary Artery Disease? A: Yes.
Q: When were you diagnosed? A: In March of 2000.
Q: Did you serve in Viet Nam in 1967-1968? A: Yes.
Q: When did you have your last MI? A: April of 2010. He then said, this is what I see on the computer.
Q: Did you have your echo cardiogram today before coming over to see me? A: Yes
Q: Do you get short of breath when you walk? A: Yes sir I do.
Q: Do you understand what your METS are? A: Yes Sir I do.
He then said, "I'm going to leave your METS as they are, I concur with the prior examiner on this, as soon as I get the report on the echo I'll send everything back to the RO. Again, thank you for your service and it was a pleasure meeting you." I said, "Thank you and have a good day." This entire exam from the nurse to seeing the doc took about 10 minutes.
Wow, wow, wow! This really took a big load of off my shoulders. The past two weeks have really been tough with all that is going on with me. If I could have done cart wheels while going back to my car, I would have done them all the way!! So now we will see if I will have any future exams and if I am P&T and IU.
