The only think we have accomplished in Afghanistan is creating hundreds of thousands of American hating people ready to cut our throats. We did nothing to rebuilt the country after we fought the Russian Invasion proxy war, years of "Go to Hell" attitude by the US after the Soviets played crispy critter on their strategic rout from Afghanistan,  We then proceeded to then turn their people into bomb/cannon fodder for the last 10+ years. They went from a highly educated, cultured, food surplus country in the 1960s to a destitute bomb crater.
Only thing we can expect from the Afghan people now is that some of their freedom fighters will be the first to deliver and set off a Pakistani nuke in the USA heartland.

1. took down 2 of the tallest most important business center buildings in the U.S.

2. damned near wiped out the Pentagon and military leadership of the strongest nation with the most powerful military on the face of the Earth.

3. killed thousands of Americans in one fell swoop.

4. brought the most advanced nation and it's people to their knees, cowering in fear.

5. almost destroyed the economy of the richest nation in the world.

NEVER underestimate a nation pissed off.
