In November 2010 I requested a DRO hearing prior to a decision being made on an NOD. Well, they finally gave me a date for next month.
I feel like I've sent in all the new and material evidence supporting my NOD. Initially the DRO hearing was requested to vent my feelings about a pittyful excuse for a C&P exam in August 2010. I cooled down and sent them a letter telling them to cancel the DRO hearing, but I guess they never got the letter handed to them by my VSO or misplaced it afterwards because I'm scheduled for ahearing in about 3 weeks.
So, if I've sent in all the supporting documents I have, is there any good reason to drive 6+ hours to the hearing? Is there anything I can say to the DRO that would help my claim or is he/she gonna go solely by what is in my file? I feel like I should at least show up now and explain why I filed the NOD and call to attention the new evidence I have provided over the past 14 months.
Anyone have any do's, don't s or pointers to share?
thanks in advance,
DB
