I'm refering to, how aortic aneurysms are rated in the: PART 4—SCHEDULE FOR RATING DISABILITIES § 4.104 Schedule of ratings—cardiovascular system. where is says: Precluding exertion 60% Thanks for your comments

Posts: 996 Feb 16 12 1:51 AM	Spiderman , ohYew is correct ! That is the Cardiologist call and depends on how bad the aneurysm is or how it was repaired. The vascular surgeon will make this call if it has been repaired. Edited 1 time by brewha44 Feb 16 12 1:54 AM.

Posts: 106 Feb 16 12 5:57 PM	spiderman, I have this exact same thing, I have a bad valve and a dilated ascending Aorta. Will be having all this replaced on may 8th. the surgeon advised me not to do the heavy lifting I normally do. I dont believe "for me" that this would warrant a temp 100% or anything prior to the surgery. After the surgery tho is quite different, I will not be able to lift ten pounds or more for 12 weeks according to the surgeon, and it may take up to six months before I can return to the work I do. Best thing you can do is to talk with your cardiologist/ surgeon and have them tell you what is best for your case. Everyone is different and what they do for living is different. If I had a sedentary job they say I could be back in 8 weeks. So it all depends on You, and your Doc.
