Posts: 1055 Dec 22 11 6:20 PM	It means your claim is being worked on. Keep in mind that there are many factors that determine a claim's closure. See the stick pin note on the VA Disability Claims (General) page about time frames, it also adresses how claims can move back and forth depending on the specifics of your claim. As I am sure you are already aware that it's taking an inordinate amount of time for claims ajudication. If you have a VSO, they may be able to give you a better picture.

Posts: 8 Dec 24 11 8:59 AM	Does already having social security disabilty monthly benefits help in deciding in your favor in a Va claim for 1151 benefits? I had no disability rating whatsoever when I went in to have total hip replacement done. To make a long story short, after the surgery I ended up 100% disabled by Social Security rule since march of 2008 and just wanted to know if that decision might help my va claim. Thanks Bill

Posts: 8 Dec 24 11 11:57 AM	Other issues are that it got infected during surgery then they took everything out where i had a total hip done by private doctors in 1991. they went back in the va that is and try to fix it but cant. I was still wlaking when i went in when i came out i couldnt. social seurity disabled me due to unemployability. I had no disability rating prior to this surgery. They found out it was infected when they went back in to fix hip where it didnt hold the va that is
