Posts: 2 Dec 18 11 7:44 PM	Tags : None I received a statement of the case from the dro on three seperate issues on appeal. Called 1-800 and they said that my appeal was with the "authorizer". I suspect he is the guy who verifies everything. However the statement of the case did not have an overall rating??? Ebenefits also says my appeal is closed and that I was sent a notification after I received this incomplete statement of the case but I received nothing. What is going on and do I have long? Thank u for any help...

Posts: 6024 Dec 18 11 10:40 PM	There is no possible way to know how long anything will take. The average claim is taking anywhere from 14-24 months, so you figure it out. Trying to figure out how long anything with the VA will take is fruitless. It is best to take up a nice relaxing hobby, like fishing, and just figure it will happen, when it happens. Calling the 1-800 number, and constantly checking E-Benefits will just raise your blood pressure. I wish we could give you a better answer, but, it is what it is. Posts: 25 Dec 19 11 12:10 PM	I filed a claim 30Nov2010 with deccision 19Mar2011. Filed NOD for a De novo Review Aug2011 with review performed 14Dec2011. SOC received dated 15 Dec 2011 and thought it was just a bunch of appeal info about my case, but 16 pages in, was a Decision section where they outlined the increase in my disability. It has the From and To %'s with the reasoning for the increase as well as reasoning not to the next higher %. I was expecting to hear something half way through next year so Im completely floored.
