Posts: 4 Aug 19 11 10:24 AM	Tags : rating, smc, tuberculosis, anatomical loss, service connected conditions, creative organ Is the following service connected conditions considered multiple ratings under SMC, and if so, what rating(s) should possibly be considered, or would all the conditions be combined for 1 rating under SMC? Genitourinary Tuberculosis, Tuberculosis Testicle, Epididymis, and cord, right, (rt. orchiectomy) Entitled SMC on account of anatomical loss of a creative organ only?

Posts: 17420 Aug 19 11 10:59 AM	I'm not really sure what you mean when you ask about "multiple ratings under SMC." The various diagnoses that you mentioned would normally be combined into a single rating unless the tuberculosis extends into another part of the genitourinary system and affects renal or urinary function. Also it would not be at all unusual for you to have a 0 percent evaluation for these conditions in addition to a separate SMC "k" for loss of use of a creative organ. That appears to be the case with you based on what you reported. Cruiser

Posts: 4 Aug 19 11 11:20 AM	Thank you Cruiser. New to the post and could not find my post right away. I will try to be more clearer. I believe this condition has had an effect on the kidney's and other organs, from the initial onset of the infection, even though it was treated years ago. I believe scarring has played a key role in current severe medical conditions. Initially received a 10% rating will this go up?

Posts: 4 Aug 19 11 11:26 AM	Cruiser, complications from the service connected conditions have been ongoing since discharge for years with lots of urology problems. Is this room for re-rating and if medical records confirm ongoing conditions is there back pay involved? Initially I was told that all the conditions should have been rated separately at the beginning. I appears this is not true.

Whether or not the tuberculosis is present in the kidneys and has caused kidney damage is a question that only your doctor can answer. This can be confirmed by means of various x-rays and laboratory tests done by your doctor. This isn't something that is open to speculation because it can easily be proven or disproven by these tests. Cruiser
