Is anyone else haveing troubles connecting to it? I get to the input user name and password I enter it than it comes up and says cant connect. Anyone else getting this?

Think I might have a solution for you (at least it fixed mine). Was having problems last week as well (after I entered my login info, it kept saying the certificates have been changed, and would never let me in), and someone else posted they had no problems logging in. So I went to my other computer (using hardwire connection to router). Worked fine! Fast foward to today, tried it on my other computer (wireless connection)...and again it didn't work..WTF?! Thought about going back to hardwired computer and trying again, but I wanted to get to root of problem.

Searched through this forum, back about 4-5 days. Found another user with same problem (couldn't log on, but others could). His/her solution was to clear your certificates under TOOLS, INTERNET OPTIONS, CONTENT. Find the 3 x certificates that start with DoDxxxxxxx, and delete them. Then clear out your history. Then try logging in to eBenefits again.

I think my problem was that at first I used a wireless PC, then a hard wired PC, sharing the same router. Maybe that had something to do with the certificates not working right, because I switched locations. Anyways, resetting the certificates, and clearing the history worked for me!!

Posts: 7 04/13/11 16:11:54	Tags : None I found out that if you login under another PC in ebenefits it will provoke the next certificate (I.E. my home PC). To fix this in Internet Explorer go to Tools, Settings, Internet Options. Go to the Content Tab and Clear SSL State. Then go back to the Genral tab and Delete your browsing history. Close Internet Explore and launch a new one and try it then. If that doesnt work you will have to go back to the Content Tab and click on Certificates button then the Intermediate Certification Authorities tab and delete the 3 certificates that start with dod. Remove browsing history again and close. Start a new window and try it. The second instructions did it for me. I had to wait over an hour to get the first part of the information. I figured the other part out on my own. Hope this helps if someone is having problems loggiing into Ebenefits. These are instructions for XP. I have no idea how to do it on 7 yet. Sim --------------------------------------------- Also in that post, was something about enhanced security if using a wireless connection. Not sure which applied to me, but now I know what to do, if I use my other PC, and it messes up the certificates on this one. Hope it works for you!! RetiredAF2009

I used it today and it worked fine however when I first created the account I couldn't connect. Then I noticed a tiny dot between my first and last name ( yeah i know....dumb) barely visible. This may not be your problem just thought I'd mention it.

I am trying to register with Ebenefits. At their website it says you can get an account by going through MyHealthevets. I have been authorized for an account at MyHealthevets and use it often to order meds. When I go to the Account Request Portal it tells me I need a DEERS password. How do I get one of those?

I think you are referring to a DoD Self-Service Account. From the main eBenefits log on screen, if you don't have an account yet, click on the link below to begin. If the link below doesn't work, then from the main eBenefits screen, just click on "Request/Activate a DoD Self-Service Log On", and follow the instructions. Once you have that created, you can then use that same log on info to access eBenefits. At least that's how I got my account.

Oh, make sure you click on the red x, where it says to Continue to this Website (not recommended), otherwise you won't get to their website.

@RetiredAF2009 Nps glad I could help. @PAguy I would try to delete those certificates and see if it helps. Cant hurt and it only takes a few seconds to do.

If your are not able to connect to ebenefits with the second level permit and or AKO knowledge website,
down load Mozilla Fire Fox and use as your browser. For some reason I have not been able to reconnect since my first visit after receiving my second level to ebenefit to check my status.
I use regular Intenet Explorer when web browsing and Mozilla for the other two (ebenefit and AKO)
