As you can tell I am new at this and know very little about how the VA process works. However, back in March I received a letter of compensation for Asthma 10% and Plantar Fasciitis 10% . I went to DAV to help me understand my letter and I was told that I should have received 30% to begin with because of my Asthma. I take a daily steroid inhaler 2x's a day. He also told me that I could qualify for a higher percentage on my plantar fasciitis if I turn in some more documentation (which I did). Is it easier to just request and increase benefits or to appeal so that I can get back pay. Putting for an appeal or putting in for an increase in benefits, which is easier, faster, and more likely to be approved. If you have some good insight or advice please give.
