Quick question, would it be possible to set up sub-forums under Agent Orange entitle: “Thailand Vets Direct Claims for Herbicides” and “Korea DMZ AO Claims”?

We have discussed this before and decided to stay as we are. If you have a claim for service connection due to direct exposure just post it here and we will assist.

First of all Sir, I am a Boots on the Ground Vietnam Vet,  since this forum’s title is “Agent Orange (AO)” under the Veterans Benefits Network, and no Agent Orange was used in Thailand, Thailand Vets might inadvertently use this “Agent Orange” reference for their herbicide exposure direct claim questions on this forum.

Confusing the Thailand Vet further, the VA also creates a mislabeling in their informational web page by starting off with “Agent Orange: Thailand Military Bases” and then follows with using the “Herbicides” reference.

Since It does seem to me (IMHO), that by the time the Thailand Vet gets any help with his question on this forum, he has to go through some non-helpful emotional responses among some posters due to his Agent Orange mislabeling; Then perhaps it might be time to reconsider the sub-forums.

flvet111...It would not make any difference what was done to try to help other Veterans from other places and services. There are haters and naysayers that will follow a thread and make comments and will cause trouble and do their best just to get a thread closed. They will sit back and smile and in their perverted mind thinking  they have done a good thing. There are lots of people on this forum that although are new comers that help Veterans and then there are some long time people that have no people skills or any other skills for that matter and degrade the forum from it's intent. 7TH INF DIV

7th,

I'm going to address this one time. Don't put me in a box with naysayers, hatters, gameplayers, wannabe's, wall stickers or any other group you may decide to address. I have made no comment as to my opinion on this subject. I have watched this thread for 4 pages and have not closed it "Yet" because there is still some hope, be it slim, that good information can come out of this. I am growing tired of the personal attacks and will have no problems closing this thread if we can't get it back on track.

Our objective here is to help veterans navigate within the current VA regulations to acheive success with legimitate claims. At present there are no presumptive conditions due to exposure to agent orange in Thiland. That being said any veteran may still file a claim for presumptive conditions for exposure in Thiland, however if regulations are followed correctly the claim will be denied. A veteran may also file a claim for direct service connection due to direct exposure to herbicides reguardless of the location. It could be Thiland or it could be Ft. McClellan which at one timed was the training center for the Army Chemical Corps. In these cases however you still have to prove exposure. VA has recently been granting claims for Thi vets who can show they worked around the premiter of certian bases. If you can prove that then the claim may be approved.

With all that being said I don't care if you file a claim because Santa Claus is a fat man and you think it caused you to be crossed eyed. File the claim, just don't expect positive results.
