Thank you 7thInfDiv.I find it sad that some on this forum offer mostly discouragement and even sometimes ridicule toward Thailand veterans. On this Valentines Day to all veterans who served in Thailand (Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam as well), may God bless you and your wives and sweethearts. Thank you for your service. Don't accept the discouragement. File your claims. You deserve support all the way.

That's the issue!

I posted on some other thread about the "fact" that our barracks (except officers and the "new" cement barracks) were ALL built on the perimeter of the base at UBON. If you need some photos please PM me with your e-mail address and I will send them to you. Also, Supply, Patroleum Oil Lubricants were on the perimeter (check point charlie) side of the base. I do not have pictures of Supply but I have one of the POL site if you need that too.

Trust me I will file my NOD after I speak to the VSO and then go from there.
Bobbells, I wish you all the luck in obtaining a
successful claim. The VA site also states that if you worked “Near” not
just “On” the perimeter.

Wow; I just realized that a thread was canceled because of the so-called negative direction it went. Wow; it went that way because the self-appointed 'pros' made it insulting, negative and discouraging. Then they point fingers at others and place the blame on anyone other than themselves. VBN needs to do some serious house cleaning. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but being rude, insulting and demeaning certainly doesn't reflect well on the efforts of the majority of vets who come here seeking help. If you can't HELP, then shut-the-****-up...

"Perhaps you should take some of your own advice. Talk about rude!"
My sentiments, exactly. Couple of guardhouse lawyers playing Don Quixote. They'd be happy with a free-for-all. I believe SJ was correct in opining that it had deteriorated to such
