Hi, I am new to the forum.  I put in a claim in the US in June 2010,  moved overseas July 2010.  The VA transfered my claim to the pittsburg office. When I called the 1-800 number to ask about the progress of the claim, VA told me that they did not recieve supporting evidence with my file, knowing that I had submitted this information with the orginal claim, I again sent the supporting evidence, but I went to the VA oversea and had them to time date stamp on my documents and fedx them to VA pittsburg.  After a month and some, I contacted the VA by phone and to my surprise they had cancelled my claim.  The first rep said that the person that was inputing the information in the system had made a mistake and cancelled it so she had to request for my claim to be reopen.  Well I waited for another week to follow-up on that progress, I got a email stating that the claim was re- opened  and that they was going by the re-open date which is June 2011.  I don't understand, if this was no fault of mine, why would they not go back to the orginal claim date which is June 2010. I have been waiting a year for an new claim Not an appeal.  Any suggestions.  Thanks Bebe.
