I am currently rated at 20% (since 2007), and will graduate in May with a BA in Government and a BS in Biology. I am going through the process of applying to medical school, but am interested in whether or not VR&E would cover the four years of medical school (because I've exhausted my GI Bill).
Would I be eligible for VR&E if I am employed part-time (meaning 5-15 hours/week), teaching students how to take the MCAT (the Medical Colleges Admissions Test). This is not a job that could lead to a career, if that helps.
If so, would it also cover all supplies, like medical instruments/scrubs/books/computer/etc?
Should I wait to apply for VR&E until I am accepted into a medical school?
Finally, since becoming a physician involves a residency (ie paid on-the-job training) after medical school, would the monthly stipend continue during this period?
