I have a situation that has been wearing me down a bit. I went to a private physician to see if I can get help with the chronic joint and muscle pain, chronic fatigue. He had me give 5 tubes of blood. Then I get a call that I need to go and pickup some antibiotics. I didn't question it. I think I have an infection. I go and pickup my antibiotics and it is a total of 1000 mg. The pharmacist tells me that I have H-Pylori bacteria and still am not questioning why I am taking so much antibiotics. Then about 30 days after the blood results were in I get a envelope with a business card on my front door. It had my name on it and that it was urgent and that I call ASAP. It was from the city metro health district. They asked why I had my blood checked and asked if I knew that my blood had tested positive for syphilis. I was in shock and felt like I was on trial. She asked me very personal questions and told me that I have to go in and give another blood test to confirm. I went downtown and gave a urine specimen and blood. I was there 4 hrs. They asked me more questions and I was in so much shock I could not even put my words together to make sense. I just told them that I was a Gulf War vet and that my health was getting worse and that I am seeking treatment for all my symptoms. The blood came back negative and was in the clear at that time. Then they said they will send it to another lab to confirm the result and I will get a call in 5 days. I get the call and it was also negative. Has anyone gone through this?
