We usually limit on 20-22" red snapper within the first hour of fishing though and then move on out to our grouper and king mackerel spots. We usually haul up at least one 8-9' tiger shark or nice big 7-8' bull shark. Sometimes that all we can catch at one spot so we have to leave. Don't let anyone tell you that red snapper are depleted in the Gulf around North FL to Miss. That's some made up BS for some biologist to justify their jobs and ensure the future of them. The long-liners have really hurt the grouper though. Be glad when I get my knees fixed so I can go and enjoy it again. Good luck and good fishin, DB

I converted it from a jon boat to a bass boat with deck on front carpeted, installed a console and steering wheel, also installede a rear deck that is also carpeted. It will run 29-30 mph at WOT with me by myself. If your thinking about coverting an alum. boat you ne to go to www.TinBoats.Net and look at some of the great conversion jobs they have done. It is a great site. I will take some pictures soon and post them.

Posts: 24 Jul 11 12 6:48 PM	As the title says, a 1970 Sea Charmer tri hull. It's ragged out and no motor on it right now, but just getting started on changing all of that. I just wanted the trailer and had to take the boat too. I'm about to head outside now to remove the outer trim (I have to drill out the rivets to get started) and then take the top of the boat off. I already know the transom is ridiculously rotted as is the floor. However, I think the hull is worth the project and I have nothing but time right now. Two stringers, maybe, a floor and a transom...then a 40 hp that's sitting in a friend's storage and maybe I can top that 17# bass I caught from the bank some 35 years ago!

It's custom built 22' Motion Marine with a 250 HP Mercury Verado. We mainly fish the Columbia with trips into the Willamette. So far this year we've chased and caught spring Chinook, Sturgeon - both keepers and oversized and Shad. Coming up Steelhead and fall Chinook. alot is NOT A WORD. A lot is opposite of a little.
