I am a Vietnam Vet needing help to file a disagreement of the VA denial of PTSD service connected rating. I applied in Nov. 2007 and just got my denial Nov. 2009. I have been diagnosed with PTSD by both private and VA doctors. The Dept. of Social Security has given me disability due to PTSD . However the VA states since my MOS was 64a10, light truck driver, and that I was not in combat. We saw plenty of action, from sniper fire, land mines, ambushes, etc. We convoyed up to the fire bases along the DMZ and experienced plenty of combat. We took on many rocket and mortar attacks while stationed in Phu Bai, just miles from Hue. I was there from Tet offensive, Feb. 68 to Mar. 69. I stated this and much more in my stressor letter. Does anyone know how I can get information and proof that we took on incoming rounds on a regular basis, and what truck drivers experienced for VA purposes?? Thanks in advance. LLoyd Itano
