Maybe states with low ratios have healthier vets who dont need to apply for disability benefits because states have better better health care. Or vets in living states with lower numbers are more affulent and don't need to worry about higher cost of living. Your analysis is BS. Why would any vet live in a state that has temp above 110 during the summer?

Not to mention no state taxes and plenty hunting and fishing and u can register couple vehicles. Used to beable register all u want for free. So far I have two with them. I live on the oregon coast and IT SUCKS/ The laws stink- and bla bla bla. but I have to say- honestly, too HAWAII- I just visited that and am I stupid or what- why would I live here when I could be in paradise daily there. Hawaii offers the highest va loans and also four plex loans and also it is the highest state holding vets beside Montana; makes ya wonder why. Obviously- low population in montana- hid out, dug outs and u name it. Guns galore. Hawaii obviously for sun and sun and sun. Im still trying to figure out where I need to stay put.

The locals like you in the tourist areas while they are emptying your wallet. Other than that, not so much.

Plus the state benefits are as good as anyplace in the country. Very low state income tax and moderate property taxes, for instance compare to NJ. My house 850,000 the prop tax is about 4000 and I am exempt. Compare to Texas prop taxes, I have friends who have moved to Texas because of the now income tax issue and found the we're paying more total taxes than NM. We also have a great RO and VAMC, COBC's all over the state as well as Vet Centers and a mild 4 season climate. I think Dan would vouch for all that. The exchange sucks but they are building a new better one but SAMs and Walmart are a better deal anyway.
