I have 6 months left to retire from the Army Reserve (Mar 2011) but I am about to go through a MEB and PEB for injuries I sustained while deployed in Iraq. I currently receive 60% Compensation from the VA, with three claims still out.
My question are;
If I am medically retired from the Army Reserve will I be collecting a percentage of my retirement based upon my active duty years or total years of service?
Will I be able to collect the Army disability concurrently with the VA Compensation, since by the time I get the Army retirement I will have 20 years under my belt, or will I have to give it up?
Thanks….
