Posts: 352 Jan 3 07 2:28 PM	Tags : None I would like to know have anyone put a claim in for PTSD for scud missile attacks in Al Jubayl or Al Jubail, Suadi Aradia during Jan - Mar 1991 not to mention the ohter stuff that we seen over there. I can still remember the loud noise or explosion, and many scud and nerve agent alerts.

Posts: 137 Jan 7 07 9:40 AM	Ivan39 Yeah I did as well have 50% PTSD rating from them, and along with going North into Kuwait also part of my stressor. If you were there as well I could possibly post or send you a copy of my detailed stressor letter so maybe you could use it as well. If needed pleas send me a message to my login on EZ-Board and include your reel e-mail and I will possibly send you the letter. If you have symptoms of PTSD be advised that it will take awhile now because of the current soldiers coming back with rightful PTSD claims as well. It took almost 4.5 years to go from having a breakdown and psych consult at VA until service connection and a 50% rating for the PTSD was given. The damn stressor letter was the hardest thing for me to do i quit 3 times on of the time my wife ripped it up because she could see how much it annoyed and was effecting me in a negative way. jdierick US Army Gulf War 1990-1991

No offense to the kind offer, but Ivan39's stressor letter would most likely be most effective if it comes from his own heart and mind, in his own language. I am confidant that when he has his C&P, after the examiner has thoroughly reviewed his claim file, the examiner would be able to discern that the verbiage was not, in fact, Ivan39's. The second point is that we don't condone blatant "coaching" in "claimsmanship". The VA will, at least in the Baltimore VARO, provide the format and you provide the information. Before the wars, I got scared s**tless just hearing about all of the potential biological and chemical weapons and conditions over there. I think going there took a lot of guts. Thanks. Posts: 137 Jan 7 07 5:30 PM	Dan I am not saying anything about mine or other GW Vets having bad or wrongful PTSD claims I am saying that these guys recently coming back from Iraq/Afghanistan are in need of care too and the raters IMHO are getting overwhelmed with claims in general and the unit reports and stuff the VA needs to get from DOD can take an awful long time.
