1983 retirement physical Mild traumatic arthritis,multiple joint with chronic pain in knees, shoulder and low back
Minimal wedging of mid-thoracic vertbrae which may represent degenetative changes or old trauma, no acute disease

Rating % Athritis 1983
What should my % be now ?

Depends on how your injuries affect you, and what they consider service connected.

Have you filed a claim? I saw % 1983 but no award.

Are you looking for an increase in your rating?

If so you would have to file for an increase, get a C&P exam to determine your loss of Rang of Motion, pain, and other factors, then a rating specialist will review the exam and award an increased rating, or not depending on the findings. Once you have a C&P done, and you get a copy, you will have a pretty good idea what % range you are looking at.

EASYED, all I can address is your knee problem. I also was given a 0% rating on my left knee in 1983, injured in service, 1968, but it was determined to be S/C. I filed for an increase in march '09,had a C&P in July and recieved a 10% rating in early August. I am having a TKR on Nov. 10th, after that the mininum rating for the knee replacement is 30%.

If all those conditions are already service-connected, then you should send VA copies of any treatments records since your last C&P exam to be considered.

Don't forget to apply for the 13-month statuatory 100% for a TKA (R), after the 13-months it is a minimum 30%.
