Posts: 10118 07/06/09 19:02:42	There is a HUGE difference between Medicaid and Medicare. Medicaid is a Federally subsidized state run and mostly financed program. Medicare is purely Federal. Medicaid does have financial limits regarding assets. Medicare does not. Posts: 627 07/31/09 21:27:02	Greeny, I read the story you referenced with interest. It was a sad situation but a clear example of people not understanding. Similar rules apply in most states when people are cared for under Medicaid.
