Help, help, help- I am trying to do this CRSC application but mine is PTSD. I did not get blown up and my VA does not state- Combat-related.
Therefore- I have to prove my PTSD was combat-related. Duh! in my book but they want the papers to see it. It is a DUH to me, because I had 6 years 8 months of
service upon medical retirement, up UNTIL IRAQ- I had 2 excellents on EVERY NCOER, was runner up for 1st Armored Division NCO of the year award (2002) and
promoted AHEAD of my peers. An excellent soldier, then Iraq, I snapped and crashed- what else could it be? duh!! Every single doctor I saw up and until the
MEb/PEb psychiatrist ALL wrote on every record PTSD. Then at the last minute- that bitch- excuse my language, changes my diagnoses to Panic D/O with
agraphobia, major depression and even includes in my write-up NIGHTMARES AND FLASHbACKS- but they would not agree to my appeal that every doc said PTSD except
her- and based on her write-up above what else could it be? I feel like writing a senator now, I am so pissed about it still. I am 100% IU with the VA- 50% of
it is PTSD, 10% for irritable bowel syndrome (even though my colonoscopy unpon medevac said lymphocitic colitis) 10% sinus tacchycardia (too fast heart rate)
and other things, not combat related.
This is what I have so far-
Medevac records from Iraq to Landstuhl
AF Form 3899, dated 20 Oct 03 "24 y/o presents with multiple problems 1) Chronic GI disease 2) weight loss of 36 pounds (weight 120pounds at medevac) 3) Chronic Fatigue 4) Syncopal attacks. Despite numerous consultations her condition has failed to improve over a period of 4 months. Recommend evac to LRMC for thorough exam and treatment"
Sick Call slip while still in baghdad: DD Form 689: "high pulse rate, shortness of breath, chest pains, headache, swollen lymph nodes, diahrea, frequent urination" RTD (return to duty) Pulse Rate 133, Temp 99.9 degrees (this was a few days before I was medevac'd)
Predeployment Questionaire DD Form 2795 Deployable- no medical issues, health is indicated as VERY GOOD. The only question I answered "yes" to was...."Have you sought counseling or care for your mental health in the past year." Yes" this was over an incident of anger I had over a trouble soldier. Only went once for the 15 min. appt. no big deal-(should I include that record to show why I checked yes on that form?"

Everything else in that award write-up was my awesomness before Iraq.

Thanks for any input. If I am reaching please tell me. All I have is proof that I was an excellent soldier- then worthless after Iraq.
