If you have a problem for instance, with convincing your VARO to copy your C-file and get it to you under FOIA (which we did), or if the VARO will not send a
Form SLC-06 to DFAS to confirm your ratings in order for you to get CRDP (which we are involved in now), you might find it useful to write a letter to the VA
Office of the General Counsel voicing your concerns, but have it forwarded through your Congressional rep's office.
Regarding the file copy, after a year of several certified mail requests, IRIS requests, and e-mail requests to no avail, we did the above and one day,
voila, received the file via FEDEX (yes, FEDEX!). We're hoping for similar results on the SLC-06, since my husband's been waiting for his CRDP for
two years, and DFAS has made several requests for this form with no response.

It's very mportant to review your C-file and make sure there are no mistakes or other folks paperwork in your c-file.
Hope this helps.
