Next, if you applied years ago for SSDI, you probably didn't meet the requirements for SSDI then and since you've not done anything to that claim, it expired.

You will have to reopen and start a new claim.

Next, you can't use a laywer on your new claim. They won't take your case, until after you've been denied and normally then only being after the second denial, will a lawyer get involved.

Then, what always flashes out to me is: why give a laywer or anyone your hard earned money, when you have all the knowledge and information you need here, in order to win your claim and for the fantasitc price of FREE???

You are as good as a team of researchers and you have your own best interests at heart....so why should you worry about a law firm and making them richer????
Even if they're hi priced with a fancy rep, they could still make mistakes.....they have numerous clients and claims, you only have yours and again, your best interests at heart.....why just throw out $5k when you can save it, use Patricks self evaluation letter and win your claim, hands down??
