My husband was rated 80% S.C. but paid at 100% IU since November 2007. This November will be ten years. I read this in one post that....... ( veteran whose death resulted from a non service-related injury or disease, and who was receiving, or was entitled to receive, VA Compensation for service-connected disability that was rated as totally disabling for at least 10 years immediately before death ).......... so if I'm reading this right, if not then someone please explain, then I would be eligible for DIC and still keep my Champ VA, whether it is SC or non SC, right ? .... Another question I need to ask, if Sec Shulkin cuts out INDIVIDUAL UNEMPLOYABLITY to VETERANS that are drawing SSDI, and my husband goes back to the 80% SC compensation, and the Good Lord's willing, lets him live several more years at that rating and then he passes , would the 10 years that he was getting 100 % be down the drain and the DIC and CHAMP VA would all be lost too ??? Of course I may go before he does because I have a lot of health issues myself. Any information anyone can give, would be gratefully appreciated.....Thank you all for your service to our country and thank you VOLS In VBN for helping and giving us information !!!
