I am a Vietnam Vet. I was infantry and armory duiring my Vietnam Service. My hearing is very poor. The VA gave me hearing aids and I applied for VA compensation for hearing loss. I was denied compensation but I har very poorly unless the volume is up and there is no background noise. Background noise is the worst. The test they give you is in a soundproof booth with only one sound coming at a time. This is not an environment in the real world of hearing. The truth is, I can hardly make out what someone is saying when they are across the table from me if there is competing noise. I spend my life asking my wife and others what they said. Is an appeal worth the time?
