I applied for IU = besides listing other employers I've worked for - I had a business -- I listed this as my own business when I submitted the claim --

I received a formal letter from the VA asking me to report employment on my self!

Do I fill out this form -- -- I'm filling out the form on myself.

Any help would be appreicated.

My experience;

When I sent in my application for IU I sent in the form from my employer.

I was the employer - self employed - I had the office manager fill out the form. Everything on the form was the facts.....under the penalities of perjury, etc.

I sold the business shortly thereafter and had no problems. The IU was granted.

They wanted me to fill out a form on myself also. So I filled it out and sent it in listing all the details that were asked for, IU was approved about two months later.

I filled out the form -- now it's a waiting game -- I was told that if I do get it -- it would be only for a year -- then they'd would look at it and decide if it should go Perm or not.
I've read where they still can call you in for C&P - at or over the age of 60. What happens to SS benefits is all you've been is IU for 10-11 years?

My thoughts - another year older -- work history affected --what happen if medical emeregency happens -- who does the dental? What about wifes needs in medical/dental when it's rated at only in Temp status?
