Posts: 18 Sep 22 08 9:10 AM	Waco, Texas. Filed claim for tinnitis, hearing loss 3/4/2008 Have recieved 5 letters so far that stated that my cliam was being processed, " sorry for the delay ". Have been told that Waco is one of the busiest Regional Offices in the nation, so sit back and have patience.................

Posts: 786 Oct 24 08 11:07 PM	PTSD, filed May, C&P mid Aug, Examiner's notes Sep 2nd, Decision Sep 15, 2008 Make sure you are using one of the veterans groups Service Officers, ie; VFW, AmVet, Legion, VVA, DAV, etc. You do NOT have to be a member and they are FREE!

Posts: 70 Oct 31 08 3:11 PM	Filed my claim for PTSD and Major Recurrent Depression 11/2003. The claim was managed at Jackson Mississippi Regional Office. The Jackson RO denied both claims in July 2005. I appealed the claims to the BVA in July 2005. BVA denied the claim for PTSD and remanded the claim for Major Recurrent Depression in July 2008. The AMC set my C&P Exam up on October 21, 2008 at the Memphis VAMC. October 31, waiting on the Memphis VAMC to return claim file to the AMC. I was told by the AMC that my claim would be put in line for rating as soon as my claim file is received. I have been represented by the DAV through out the entire process.

Posts: 450 Aug 30 09 10:01 AM	First time around: Oakland CA took four4 months to 60% (Navy gave me a medical discharge at 20%.) I think I screwed up some where as anything over 30% and I should have been medically retired instead of discharged, not sure if I can do anything about it now. '00 Newark NJ took four months to increase migraines from 0% to 10%, and an additional seven months to get rating increased to 30%. Overall rated at 80%

Posts: 11 Feb 2 10 3:57 AM	Honolulu intitial claim was 90 days with Line of Duties from Active Duty (70% service connected 30%PTSD, 40% physical). Reconsideration for PTSD took 14 months of which the VA Admin side did nothing but jerk me around for all but the last three then is took (1 hospitalization, 1 meeting with General Shinseki when he visited us in the PRRP, and 1 really good DAV VSO and 2 C and P within about 90 days. Also Medical Side of VA made it extremely clear that they would not in anyway clear me to return to the Hawaii Sheriff's. So now fighting with IU seems that they take my having a college degree in Diplomacy and Military Studies as from before I deployed to Iraq as a factor into consideration or something like that. Long story 10 months total Second claim filed August 13, 2009---1 C&P so far, 1 C&P next week.....filed several items including GWI, ED secondary to PTSD, TBI, GWI, also seeking an increase in PTSD. 1 YEAR and counting!
