At one point I had been collecting at the 100% rate but was reduced to 60% VA disability with only 10% for CRSC. I reapplied for CRSC and I am now at 40% for CRSC and 60% for CDRP.

If I stay with CDRP I will be collecting $1097 which includes an SMC amount plus another $1102 for my retirement for a total of $2199 for 2008. By the way my 2008 VA waiver is $293.93.

What I don't understand is how to compute the CRSC amount. The way I figure it should be $568 which is the amount the DFAS says is the CRSC amount plus my full retirement of $1471 plus the VA payment of $1097 for a total of $3136 or will the amount be $568 plus $903 (representing the remaining difference in Retirement Pay) plus the $1097 for the total amount of $2568. Or perhaps something else because I don't understand how it is paid.

If I compare the amounts the answer becomes obvious to me assuming I am calculating correctly which is to take the CRSC and wait for the CDRP to catch up. Please help me understand the calculation of CRSC.
