Thanks for the response. It is not I who is starting a business but another vwt who asked for my help. After some research, we have agreed that IF you have the backing that you can get better rates for Small Business loans from other sources. But after your business is up and running then you are correct that the Disabled Veterans business can get ahead of other non-disabled business...we'll see how it goes. CSM-H

Get with the Small Business Administration specialist that can direct you in the most advantageous way for you. DAVs are now eligible to do business with the Federal government and there is alot of big businesses that also adhere to the Federal guidlines. Join the National Veteran-Owned Business Association, join at www.navoba.com. Big time help from these folks. The big deal is to become a Vetrepreneur.

Going back to the SBA, simply go to their web site and get started. Find out where your nearest SBA office is and call them up and go see them. There is also a new Vet loan program out that the SBA will assist you on.

Got to have a well-planned business plan to succeed. The SBA can help you do this at no charge.
