I just received my C&P results, my claim is for OSA secondary to my SC rhinitis and sinusitis. His report states, Vet is a reliable historian and gives a clear account of signs and symptoms that he was experiencing in his service days are consistent with OSA however a sleep study was not performed. OSA is a chronic condition and symptoms can persist for years before clinching a diagnosis by ordering a sleep study. Given the above it is my professional medical opinion that vet's complaints in service are at least as likely as not consistent with OSA, however it is as less as likely as not that sinusitis/rhinitis caused OSA. Vet was diagnosed by his PCP, Vet states that he has had chronic loud snoring, sleep disruption due to coughing and choking sensation dating back to his service days and attributes them to his SC allergies. Sorry for the long post. Do you think I have a chance? I was not diagnosed in service. He stated early in the exam that he thought it would be hard to connect it to Sinusitis/Rhinitis because there is not much out there on it, but there is a lot of info out there connecting the two. I was also wondering if I should submit all the articles that I have connecting the two before the rating decision? I submitted an IMO from a Family Practice Doctor stating it is more likely than not caused by Sinusitis/Rhinitis along with two buddy statements.
