Re: Can you contest a c&p exam? (reply)
The important part of the C&P is what deals with your disability.  You can certainly request that any information that is factually wrong be corrected (although I do not think the time in service will impact your claim).  Was the...

Re: Obstructive Sleep Apnea secondary to Sinusitis (reply)
He is saying that the SA is aggravated by the SC chronic sinusitis.  I would file for the SA as secondary to the sinusitis.  Good luck with your claim!

Re: Ankle instability? (reply)
Below is the criteria for rating the ankle.  I would suggest reading some of the court decisions for instability of the ankle, as several can be found. 5270   Ankle, ankylosis of:                    In plantar flexion at more than 40º,...

Re: P and T and No IU reduction (reply)
I think ricky's point is that if you are P&T and if you do not submit any new claims, there is little likelihood of review by the VA (and this has been verified by some of the raters on this site).  I agree with ricky's point.  If...

The doctor who made the comments regarding VA compensation and SSDI is completely wrong.

Re: Degenerative disc disease (reply)
There are two sections of the spine for rating purposes.  They are the Thoracolumbar spine and Cervical spine.  Each section is rated based upon ROM unless the vet has been prescribed bed rest (refer to the rating criteria) by his/her...

Re: Anyone else have Black Outs? (reply)
If you are blacking out, I would consider having four wheel under me rather than two wheels.  You need to get with your doctor and find out what is causing the blackouts.  You have been pretty lucky up until now because the blackouts...

Re: trigger finger as a secondary rating (reply)
I have had three trigger finger releases (two in the right hand and one in the left).  Once I had the release, the trigger finger (in each surgery) was completely cured.  I had cortizone shots prior to each surgery but they provided only...

Re: Dd214 and landlord (reply)
I guess a DD214 could show the landlord some good intel concerning the vet but it seems like a lot of work for very little return.  He's just trying to protect his investment.

Re: IU added to claim by the VA after I was rated (reply)
I am assuming that you have other ratings that give an overall rating of 90% (VA ratings are not added together).  The VA may go off your existing records and other documentation or may have you come in for another C&P.  You will...

Re: L3-4, L4-5 and L5-S1 fusion possibility (reply)
I had a three level fusion in 2004 and have not seen much improvement.  The problem is that a back is designed to bend and when you take the bend out of a section of the back, you place stress on the points where the back can bend again...

Re: Had my C&P exam yesterday. (reply)
Your X-ray shows degenerative changes to your spine but your rating will be based upon ROM.  The X-ray finding could occur in a person without any symptoms or the symptoms could be significant.
