USAF SF,  Clothing allowance must be turned in by August 31 and the payment will arrive anytime between September 1 to October 31st.   Not sure on the rate for this year. Think it was 950 or something last year.

Re: Are they rated seperately? (reply)
Sure others will chime in soon, but it sounds like one would be the primary claim (the stenosis) and the other would be a residual of that condition (the IVDS). So if you are SC on the Stenosis and your doctor says that caused your IVDS...

Re: First time poster (reply)
That may be true adukes, but consider all the claims that were waiting prior to your claim that were never worked on, I think it would be very amazing if your claim was worked on prior to hitting the 1 year mark where the higher ups...

Re: chronic pain (reply)
First step is you have to ask your doc what could be the issue. Explain to him/her the symptoms your having, and make sure you let the nurse know your pain level when they ask you. You have a right to recieve treatment for pain, they may...

Re: Change from Development to Notification and call from the VA.... (reply)
Sounds like they are just doing a quality check and found this as a result. Some times things get misplaced and as your file has just been though the claims process again, more than likely that is what happened since you have been...

Re: Become a VSO (reply)
VSO jobs are with the individual service organizations, VSR's are VA employee's and you should be able to find those listings on www.usajobs.gov once you set up an account you can search by job code, organization, area of the country,...

Re: insomnia (reply)
a secondary claim is a separate rating all to it's self and does not increase the primary condition. The conditions to get the secondary awarded are the same as with a primary, except the nexus letter must show that your primary SC...

Re: Waiting, Waiting, Waiting, Waiting! Help! NSC??? (reply)
you have the option to choose either one, in most cases if the NSC is greater many vets take that. It is your option even if the disability is less to tell the VA you only want that pay and they will do it. You do have to pay medicare...

Just and FYI, the BVA has the authority to grant awards they deem appropriate for the situation, this is different from the VARO powers to grant. If you read though BVA cases on the internet you will see that in a situation that seems...
