My husband was in the USMC first, and then after that he went into the Army. When I requested his records from St Louis I had a letter back saying the USMC records would arrive shortly, but that they had never received his Army ones....

Just a follow up.After spending a little time searching, I did find  a phone number to contact those people at the Army Human Resources Command in Fort Knox, KY. That is where the NPRC redirected my request for the med/mil records...

Sorry to hear that afoprtr, it is the most frustrating thing. I have his USMC records, but of course that was before the bit that I need. I read here the other day, a post that said even bad luck runs out. Fingers crossed!

Thank you SteamJockey.He did make a claim in 1980, the year after discharge, at the VA in San Diego. In the paperwork I received from NPRC there are letters referring to various requests for med/mil records after he had some dental work...
