Single Vet rate:

Please remember that this is not a sure thing congress still has to approve this.
Vets Cola is not the same as Social Security Automatic Increase.
If this follows the same course as last year you will see the increase on Dec. 28th 2012, (because the 31st and the 1st are a Holiday.)
Please forgive me if I am off a dollar, My fingers and adding machine don't work the same as they used to.

Teaker, thanks for putting up this chart and I am sure that it will be a visual aid for many single vets. I had already calculated my own since I have a dependent.

There is NO approved COLA for anyone getting VA Service Connected benefits. NONE AT ALL!

Congress still has to pass the authorization for this to happen. We all HOPE that they will before January, but this is NOT guaranteed.

Repairing old adding machines and typewriters is my hobby while waiting for my appeal, been waiting since Oct. 2007. now it is at the AMC since nov. of last year. I probaly would go crazy if I had nothing to do......

Yes it has passed the house. But it never made it thru the Senate. It was blocked and will have to be addressed when they return in November. Which, by the way, could mean delays and retro issues for us. The VA may not have enough time to get them all done before 1 Jan. But I agree that it is more likely than not to be passed.

The VA will have Everything in Place...and with a Click...Everything will Get Done. Wink

After all...the VA Get's it Done for the GI BILL Increase...somehow.

And apparently "without" the Help of Congress...or The President.

Because the GI BILL received a 3.2% Increase...this year...and was Effective on October 1ST.

The CPI-W Index was NOT used...or Congress and The President.

This is a Great Example of LESS Government...Equals MORE Money...For The People. Salute

I would be Very Interested in Knowing HOW That Happens.
