Participants must be enrolled in a VA approved program of education offered by a community college or technical school. The program must lead to an Associate Degree, Non-College Degree, or a Certificate, and train the Veteran for a high demand occupation.Because Liberty is not either of those, even though it is approved for GI Bill and Chapter 31, I would not think it is eligible. However, people get different information all the time. Since you have to apply through the state veteran's rep through DOL (for us here it is through WorkForce West Virginia, and we have a specific rep), they should know which schools are permissible. Am anxious to hear an answer because we have a vet that cannot get services through Chapter 31 and we are trying to help him with other options.
