Hello all, I was referred to this forum from a retired army airforce buddy of mine. He told me I could get some help. I am currently going through a MEB process for a few things. The army is looking at PTSD with adjustment disorder and degenerative disk disease. The VA is looking at other minor issues bilatreral Cholrondoma(loss of carteledge in both of my knees) and other issues. I have currently went through the VA physical and it didn't sound to promising. I injured my back during my deployment to Iraq as an infantryman, carrying a SAW and falling down stairs, getting blown up, falling out of my truck and so on and so forth. The problem is none of my injuries were ever serious enough to get medavaced or anything. I was always treated at my small combat outpost with some pills. My back started hurting midway though the deployment and they just kept feeding me tramadol. Same with my knees. None of this is in my medical records as I was treated by my E4 medic everyday. There was no aidstation or computers to document this stuff. It is obvious to me that my back, knees and PTSD are all combat related but the VA doc who did my exam said there was no proof being that I didn't actually get to a doctor until I redeployed. So I have a few questions....
1- How do I prove this all is combat related
2- Do I qualify for the CRN(I have no idea what it is other then compensation for combat related injuries)
3- Do I qualify for something called household I have been reading about
4- The small stuff like right wrist pain was never documented but occured from holding my saw with one hand pointing up the stairs every time we cleared a multiple story building. The Va guy just dismissed it because there is no documentation.
5- I am literally lost with what I need to do to insure I am getting what I deserve. Any guidenace will help
**In the infantry we never went to sick call. It was a sign of weakness and now I am kicking myself in the butt for not doing it. I just hope there is a way to fix all these problems. I have 2 young kids and want to ensure I get what I can for them.
**As I said before, I have already went through the VA physical and am currently getting sworn statements from my soldiers and medic on the stuff that happened in Iraq and how it effected me and how I was treated. What else can I do?
