Without getting into details about my personal life, the VA created an administrative review offering me IU. I got the brown envelope with the 21-8940 form and ebenies confirms they are in the "gathering evidence" phase. When my original claim was closed to my satisfaction, I did not send in the 21-8940 form and I suspect this has come about because of my pending dependency claim.
While I'm grateful that the VA is offering the review and I have been unemployed because of my issues, I do not want to go for IU. Is this a case where I simply do not return the 21-8940 and the matter is dropped after my dependent is added? Is this something the VA automatically sends because my file is open to add my dependent?
