WOW! I couldn't believe I was hearing what I was hearing when they said he had died. So many things will just NOT be the same...with him gone. Meet the Press is one of my favorite shows. Also, the way he would use his board to add and subtract numbers trying to figure out the elections...will never be the same. An Original Nice Guy who will never be replaced.

I live right outside DC in Suburban MD. The news we watch is NBC. It is hard to believe he is gone, he was so vibrant and still not an old man. The local
evening news WRC -TV NBC 4 has the whole broadcast of the evening news to Tim. We would watch him often. Not every Sunday, but he was often on for the local
news, even talking sports. He loved sports, he was not a Redskins fan but a Buffalo Bills fan. He will be missed.
Reality is determined not by what scientists or anyone else says or believes but by what the evidence reveals to us.

I will miss him also. He had a natural act for interviewing folks.

I hate it that he passed on, I really enjoyed listening to his wit and wisdom. R.I.P. Tim.

The man could absolutely control and handle an interview and an elecorial debate beautifully...he had everyone's total respect and commanded the
atmoshphere.

I was totally shocked when I read the Yahoo headline of his death. A good guy died young.

Like I posted elsewhere, I was surprised to learn of his political background with the liberal Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan and then-governor Mario Cuomo. I
never had a clue as to his political persuasions. The mark of a great Journalist.

I was truly saddened when I heard the news today about Tim Russert.
He was one of the classiest people in the media. I knew a little about his early years working for a Democrat, but I never felt that he was one bit biased. America lost a great American. Rest in peace Tim. Cacti

Tom Brokaw had a Special about Tim Russert last night. I found out that Tom Brokaw will also be hosting Meet the Press tomorrow morning...and will have an hour-long Special then, too. I wonder if Tom Brokaw will come out of retirement, for awhile, to host Meet the Press. The one person that "I" would like to see take over Meet the Press...works for ABC... I would like to see Martha Raddatz as the host of Meet the Press. 
Anyone else have a suggestion?
