Good day all. I'll be brief but as concise as possible. Currently rated at 80% (70% PTSD, 10% Tinnitus, 10% IBS). Denied service connection for OSA. I have been attending treatment for PTSD for several years, am on numerous medications, and it has recently been suggested by the therapist(s), that I consider filing for TDIU as I have had problems professionally and resulted in loss of jobs that has really affected my ability to get a job other than a temporary hand (seasonally). My question centers around the documentation that is sent to previous employers. I understand that the TDIU is exactly that (T)emporary, and it is my hope to use it to stabilize my finances and concentrate on getting a better hold on the PTSD so that I can get back out there and be productive. I don't want to dig a hole with former employers though. I see this a potential problem, the industry (construction) that I come from is pretty tightly knit and that alone has to a degree "black balled" me in respect to getting a supervisory position again already. In all honesty, my best bet would be to get better and try to relocate if I can, but do not want to get to that point until I and my therapists are confident that I am able to. I don't know, I guess more of a rant than a question, just really don't want to do anything else by pestering former bosses with paperwork about "my problems", that may effect my professional reputation further. Thanks for for forum all, always good information.
