I am a newbie, just enrolled for VA Health Care in 2016 after 44 years from discharge and was surprised that the VA will provide me with Health care, I am a Level 5, Viet Nam Vet 72, And there is no dental care. Somehow this is not right. The Goverment spends a lot of money on the VA program and it stands to reason that the VA should provide care for our teeth, at least the basic care, cleanings, fillings and pulling bad teeth. I know if the VA would provide this service to all the current and future enrolled Veterans that it would be a hugh amount of money. I am sorry but this is part of the cost of war and our goverment needs to take care of the people that our Goverment asked to fight these wars. Veterans make up a large population of the voting public and Veterans are used to organization and have taken orders and given orders when in service and could be one of the largest political influences if motivated and organized. For the past decades we, the Vets, have taken what is thrown to us,and have been made to feel that we should be lucky for getting that much back for our service to our country. The time has come and we can change things. How and where do we start. At the present the VA/Goverment has us divided and conquered. We need to UNITE somehow. If this is the wrong place for this please let me know and redirect.
